Synagogue services

There is a Shabbat morning service every week followed by a Kiddush.

Shabbat morning service starts at 9:30.

From time to time there is a Kabalat Shabbat service on Friday evening.

Mikveh

We are proud to have our own mikveh (ritual bath) in our building. Anyone wishing to use this mikveh or seeking information may contact one of the numbers below, preferably at least 24 hours in advance.

Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Chuppah, Brit Mila or celebrating an anniversary?

It is possible to sponsor a kiddush, provide a meal or rent various rooms including a kosher kitchen. We are happy to think along with what best suits your needs.

Welcome to Rotterdam!

We are happy to serve Jewish students studying in Rotterdam, we would like to be there for you.

If you share your data with our rabbi, we will keep you informed of (student) activities, such as our weekly Shabbat meals, Hanukkah celebration, and a Passover seder.

Archive research

We own the pre-war archive of Jewish Rotterdam. If you are looking for information about your ancestors, people in hiding, or other Jewish Rotterdam residents, then you have come to the right place.

Researching a family tree costs €180 for non-members. If there is no result, you will get your money back.
Document verifying your Judaism is €250.

Kosher food (kashrut)

There are no kosher shops or kosher restaurants in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. The nearest kosher shops or restaurants can be found in Amsterdam or Antwerp. Fortunately, a lot of kosher food is readily available in regular supermarkets such as Albert Heijn or Jumbo.
